With a 30-year career in Oriental Dance (Egyptian style) and a well-established dance studio in Turku, Finland, my calling is to give you a chance to experience dance yourself. I have been privileged to study, teach and perform in Finland and abroad, and I passionately love dance in all its variety.
Dance Classes
Do you want to feel good after a nice excercise? Do you enjoy beatiful movement and lovely music? Would you like to be physically fitter? If you answered ”yes” to even one of these questions, Oriental Dance might be for your! Oriental Dance – also called Belly Dance or Raqs Sharqi – is a beautiful art form in its own right, but it is also excellent physical excercise! It is gentle, when you need it to be, but you can also work up a proper sweat if that is your wish. And what’s best – it is dance, certain to lift your spirits up every time!
Moon Dance Studio offers weekly classes in Oriental Dance and Burlesque-ish (burlesque style) dance, plus a fitness and stretching session. Classes take place in a friendly atmosphere where every dancer can feel welcome and comfortable while enjoying good music and the company of other dancers. Should you wish to have more individual training, you can also book private classes for yourself your group, e.g. for your work team. Classes can be taught in Finnish, English or Swedish.

Dance performance
If you wish to enjoy the artistic side of Oriental or Burlesque-ish, you can book a performance to crown a celebration or a business event.
Something to wear
Raqset Amar Sewing provides made-to-measure and bespoke outfits for dance training, performance and ”civilian” wear. You can order outfits from pre-existing designs or have your own, individual design made. For both everyday and special occasions, you can have your own, unique outfit, whether it is a summer dress or a winter coat. A well designed and made outfit is also an ecological choise as, when well cared for, it will last for a long time.
